Installation and care
Fitting a new set takes about twenty minutes and no special skills. Here is the whole process, start to finish.
-
Photograph your current layout
Take a quick photo of your keyboard before you start. It makes putting everything in the right place much easier.
-
Pull the old caps
Use a wire keycap puller, pressing straight down and lifting evenly. Work slowly on larger keys.
-
Sort the new set
Lay the new caps out by row before you start. Most sets follow the printed key list included on the product page.
-
Press the new caps on
Line each cap up with its switch stem and press down firmly until it seats. Stabilized keys like the space bar go last.
-
Check your work
Compare against your photo, press every key once, and adjust anything that sits unevenly.
Compatibility
Our sets fit MX-style switches, which cover most mechanical keyboards. Each product page lists the profile — Cherry, MOA, MDA, and others — along with the exact key count.
Low-profile and laptop keyboards use different stems, so our sets will not fit those.
Care
Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh solvents, abrasive cleaners, and long stretches of direct sunlight. Stored or installed, the legends are made to last.
